Approach

van Horn Consulting considers the whole individual in our coaching approach. We focus on a blend of individual behaviours, current context, background, history, and individual vision for the future. Our fundamental belief is that behaviours are fluid, and interdependent with the working environment and other contexts. We believe that all people are innovative and full of potential.

Our coaching approach is supported by a range of psychometric and self development tools that are available on an as-needed basis. Tools include Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), Pearson Marr Archetype Indicator, Apter Motivational Style Profile, Apter Leadership Profile System, and Klein Group Instrument.

Executive Coaching

Our Executive Coaching approach develops C-level leaders and managers in companies and other types of organisations.

Our coaching programmes are defined by our phased model that emphasizes long term personal development and independence supported by a first step of interdependence with the coach.

Objectives of Executive Coaching

  • Help the business achieve its goals through development of its people.
  • Identify and build core strengths of each individual through methodical application of a unique action plan over time.
  • Identify and correct any weaknesses that have a critical impact on personal effectiveness.

Method

  • Assessment: coaching clients are assessed through a qualitative and customized 360 degree process.
  • Coaching: Depending on client need, the coaching programme is implemented via monthly coaching sessions, supported by an action plan, over a period of three to eighteen months.
  • Evaluation: Client and coach conduct a qualitative evaluation of the coaching process and the outcomes. For longer coaching engagements, a mid-term evaluation is conducted.

  • Evaluation: Client and coach conduct a qualitative evaluation of the coaching process and the outcomes. For longer coaching engagements, a mid-term evaluation is conducted.
